Beautiful morning at the lookout tower.
We stopped for lunch at a shelter that we were really glad we didn't sleep at. Dirty. And later we learned it had a snake in it. And mice.
When we hiked down into the valley, there was a trail angel! He was handing out cold soda, cookies, chips, and the likes. Yay!
We had a loooooong climb up a mountain to a nice bald. It was a long day, 16 miles.
The shelter so slanted that when we woke up I was basically laying on top of Will, who was slid down next to Caveman, who rolled next to Cheers, who would have been laying on top of the old man had he not gotten up.
Good thing the shelter wasn't slanted towards the open side and you all fell off the edge during the night, Grandma says!
ReplyDeleteYay! For trail magic.
SIXTEEN MILES! Wow! You're getting up there! Good for you!
Yeah the day before we went 17!
DeleteI love the sound of the trail angels!
ReplyDeleteSnake and mice .. nice combination!!!
Keep safe.
As always we enjoy your updates.

Trail Angels are such good people. It sounds like you're getting a lot more miles since you ditched your old man! LOL Stay safe and don't slide off a mountain top!

Sounds like you are having wonderful days! Trail angel sounds like a great profession! Naturally, it made me think of this verse from Hebrews 13:1-2: "Let love of the brethren continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it."
ReplyDeleteLittle did they know they were giving food to the Bradley Angels....peace Deb
